Obituary

Shirley Maxine (Aldridge) Maday – Age 86 of Grand Rapids, passed away on November 28, 2020, after battling COPD and Dementia. She now resides eternally in a room prepared for her in heaven.

Shirley is happily reunited with her beloved son Michael (Frances) Maday. She is survived by her husband of 65 years David Maday, her son Timothy (Eileen) Maday and daughter Deborah (Tony) Lesnau. Her Grandchildren, Andrea (Steven) Pierce, Kellie (Andre) Sargent, Anthony Lesnau, Sean (Ivy) Maday, Timothy (Molly) Maday, Kevin (Tricia) Maday, Brenna Maday, John Maday. Shirley had 12 Great Grandchildren, Jace, Amelia, Emmarie, Graham, Adalyn, Andi, Iris, Elsi, Gus, Charlie, Kyler and Dexton.

Shirley was an energetic, spunky and sassy homemaker who loved her family, cooking, baking, crafting and golf. She was a passionate pet owner and completely spoiled her dogs and cats. She was an avid reader and loved sitting on her deck with a glass of wine and a good book.

Shirley spent the last couple of years living at Holland Home Cook center. She loved the care team and didn’t hesitate to tell them how she felt and shower them with hugs and kisses. Shirley and the family were blessed to have such an amazing team love-on her.

A private memorial service will take place with the immediate family. A celebration of life will take place later. If considering a donation, Shirley would be honored if one is made in her name to a charity that involves animal rescue or animal care.
